What Materials Uses in Engineered Oak Flooring?
Engineered Oak flooring is composed of multiple layers of veneered timber glued together in a cross-grained lamination. European Oak engineered flooring Sydney is designed to counteract the natural tendency of wood to expand and contract when faced with changes in temperature and moisture.
Process Steps of Engineered Oak Flooring Making:
The first layer of Engineered Oak timber flooring moisture barrier is laid on the ground, followed by a layer of underlay and then timber. It is most commonly used for apartments or units, where floors are situated on a higher level. In Engineered Oak timber flooring, each layer of veneered timber acts as a sound barrier, thus minimizing noise and disturbance.
Is Engineered Oak Timber Flooring Made Up with Natural Wood?
The term “engineered” does not mean the wood is synthetic. Engineered timber flooring is real wood, but the board itself has been manufactured out of different types of timber. Engineered Oak flooring, which is made from rubber, plastic or other synthetics, can be made to imitate the appearance of timber flooring.
